Photos Show Suspect In Highbridge Park Sexual Assault: Cops
Cops released photos and video of the man who they say choked and sexually assaulted a woman in broad daylight near Edgecombe Avenue.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY —Cops have released new surveillance footage of the man who they say choked and sexually assaulted a woman in Highbridge Park in broad daylight.
The 28-year-old woman was walking near Edgecombe Avenue and West 165th Street around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, when a man came up to her and grabbed her around the neck, police said.
In new details released this week, police said the man dragged the woman into nearby bushes and choked her until she was unconscious.

He then took the woman's jewelry and forced her to perform a sex act on him, police said.
He is wanted on criminal sex act charges.

The woman was taken to Columbia Medical Center in stable condition. She has since been treated and released.
Cops originally released a sketch drawing of the man. On Friday they sent out photos taken from surveillance video of the man walking down the street.
