- Mayor Bill De Blasio was victorious Tuesday after the federal appeals court removed a temporary block on the vaccine mandate. Teachers and staff have to get their first shot by 5 p.m. Friday or face termination. The ruling reversed a previous court decision that blocked the mandate last Friday. "Vaccine mandates, they not only work, they are winning in court," De Blasio said on Tuesday. "Every single time, the city of New York wins."(CBS New York)
- After nearly a two-year hiatus from live performances, two Columbia College graduates welcomed back live theater at Plaza de Las Americas in Washington Heights last Saturday for General Mischief Dance Theater's "Vamos/Let's Go" performance. Both alumni of the university's dance department are now company members of General Mischief Dance Theater, a dance company based in New York City that aims to make dance "playful, accessible and often interactive." - A man who allegedly shot four people outside a bar on West 211th Street & 10th Ave in Inwood, has been charged with attempted murder, according to a report by Daily News. Ismuel Alcantara, 25, faces charges of assault and gun possession. Police seized a "ghost gun" at the scene. "Ghost guns" are firearms that can be assembled at home, and often do not have a serial number. (Patch Washington Heights-Inwood)
- Harlem Rep. Adriano Espaillat secures over $8 million in grant funding for district health centers. The funding is for nine Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program-funded health centers in New York's 13th congressional district that will support major health care construction and renovation projects throughout New York City. - $1M Mega Millions ticket was sold in upper Manhattan and the jackpot keeps climbing. A second-prize ticket was sold at Broadway Newsstand on the corner of Broadway and Dyckman in Upper Manhattan. (Flipboard)
