Ok, hunch confirmed. Miranda seems both anxious and pumped about hosting the sketch comedy show, judging by his social media activity.
And viewers should be equally as excited to see the "Hamilton" superstar show off his comedic chops. If this guy can pull off a hip-hop musical about the United States' founding fathers, there's probably nothing he can't do well.

For those who can't wait until Saturday night's show, "SNL" has released a promo video featuring Miranda and cast member Cecily Strong.
Miranda has been busy since he ended his run as a regular on "Hamilton" in July. In addition to hosting "Saturday Night Live," Miranda wrote the score for the upcoming Disney movie "Moana" and will star alongside Emily Blunt in a "Mary Poppins" reboot.

The Washington Heights native has also found time to give back to the community. Miranda recently announced he will donate $100,000 to the United Palace, to purchase a brand-new projection system for the theater.
