Students Visit With 106th Members
Middle School students recently spoke with members of the 106th Air National Guard, based at Gabreski Airport.

Westhampton Beach Middle School students recently had the opportunity to speak with members of the 106th Air National Guard, who are based at Gabreski Airport in Westhampton.
The 106th members surprised the students, who attend the HUGS, Inc. after-school Drop-In Center, which is held at the middle school. The students had previously shown the guard members their gratitude in honor of Veteran’s Day by making them cards, bracelets and key chains.

During the visit, 106th members spent time answering student questions and sending positive messages about determination and goal setting. They also spoke to students about making healthy life choices, the value of teamwork and the price one can have in making a career out of serving others.
