Westhampton Beach Student Government Hosts Special Olympics
The event featured teams from across Suffolk and Nassau counties.

Westhampton Beach High School’s student government recently hosted a Special Olympics basketball tournament featuring nine teams from across Suffolk and Nassau counties.
Before the event, members of the student government reached out to local businesses for monetary donations in order to help pay for the tournament, which included a pizza lunch for all athletes and their families.
Students also volunteered during the event, assisting athletes and running face painting, cupcake decorating, and beanbag toss booths for the athletes.
