High Winds Causing Damage Monday Throughout Region
A wind gust of more than 70 mph was recorded for White Plains Airport.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Hold onto your hats, Hudson Valley.
News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck reported that there was a 72 mph wind gust recorded at White Plains Airport in Westchester County.
One apartment complex in the City of Poughkeepsie lost siding Monday morning because of the gusty winds.

The National Weather Service issued wind advisories for the Hudson Valley.

The one for Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange expires at 6 p.m. Monday.

For Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster, it expires at 7 p.m. Monday.
The NWS said wind speeds for southern Westchester will be from 26 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 47 mph.
