The Lakeland Central School District Board of Education has adopted a proposed 2016-2017 budget of $161,174,165. This represents a zero (0%) increase in the budget from the current school year's spending plan. The proposal also includes a district wide tax levy increase of 0.5%. This increase is below the state-mandated allowable tax levy increase (0.82%) for Lakeland and one of the lowest in the past 18 years.
