New General Manager Named at Jefferson Valley Mall

It's another piece of the massive renovation effort being made at the shopping center in northeastern Westchester.

A new general manager has been named at the Jefferson Valley Mall, where a massive renovation project is underway.

The announcement was made by Jed Reichard, vice president, regional director of properties for WPGlimcher.

“This is an exciting time at Jefferson Valley Mall and we are thrilled to now have David Napolitan at the helm of our dynamic team,” said Reichard. “His extensive mall-related management experience will be a great asset as we continue to grow Jefferson Valley Mall’s appeal within the local community.”

In his new capacity as general manager, Napolitan will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Jefferson Valley Mall, including budget management, leasing, staff supervision, business development, tenant relations and strategic marketing, officials said.

It's all part of the significant renovation project currently underway at the shopping center in Yorktown. H&M celebrated its new space there recently, and two new retailers -- DICK'S Sporting Goods and Torrid -- are moving in, officials announced last week.

Immediately prior to joining Jefferson Valley Mall, Napolitan served for more than a decade as the general manager of Champlain Centre in Plattsburgh, N.Y. He is a former Director of Sales and Marketing for St. Lawrence Gas in Massena, New York. Napolitan graduated from Williams College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned his master’s degree in business administration from Western New England College.
