NYC DEP Looking For Summer Interns For Hudson Valley

The department protects and maintains the largest municipal water supply in the United States.

YORKTOWN, NY — There's probably not a bad time to apply for an internship. After all, you most likely would be pursuing a way to work in a field that interests you. But if a summer internship is on your wish list, the clock is ticking, and never mind that there is still snow on the ground.

For those interested in an environment-related internship, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection announced it is looking to fill 17 summer internships at its offices in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.

Those accepted into the summer internship program will work alongside DEP scientists, engineers, planners and other professionals who operate, maintain and protect the largest municipal water supply in the United States.

The internships will be located at the DEP's offices in Delaware, Greene, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties. In addition, the DEP also offers many internship opportunities at its New York City offices.

Prospective interns should read the qualifications for each job to determine whether they meet the enrollment, grade point average, coursework and other requirements.
