Shoppers Needed For Target Same-Day Delivery In Hudson Valley

YORKTOWN, NY — The news that Target will begin same-day delivery service in the Hudson Valley also came with news that the company that will be handling the service for the retailer — Shipt — will be adding more than 2,000 new shoppers in the New York metropolitan area.

The new shoppers will take care of filling orders and delivering them.

Target will begin same-day delivery in the Middletown, Poughkeepsie, Monroe, Newburgh and Kingston areas Tuesday, July 31.

On Aug. 14, same-day delivery will be available in the Mount Kisco and White Plains areas.

To apply to be a Shipt shopper, go to “Get Paid to Shop” on the Shipt website.

Requirements for being a shopper include being at least 18 years old, having a valid U.S. driver’s license and auto insurance, having a reliable vehicle made at least since 1999 and an iPhone or Android smartphone.

If you start shopping for Shipt, you will be an independent contractor, which means you are responsible for paying taxes on your income. On the other hand, your expenses could be deductible and you can work as much or as little as you want.
