She graduated from Iona College with a degree in marketing and worked at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank for 16 years, based in the Bronx. While at Chase, she organized the Annual Global Days of Services for all Bronx branches. She also regularly spent time after work volunteering in the soup kitchen at St. Peter’s Church in Port Chester, NY. After moving to Somers, she also became a Eucharistic Minister for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak and brought the Holy Eucharist to the homebound for five years.

She also became a Cub Scout leader for her son’s troop and began serving the school community in many ways, most notably through PTA positions. Teresa chaired the SomersIntermediate School field days, served as recording secretary for the PTA Council and was on the hospitality committee. More recently, she has been heavily involved with the Somers High School Booster Club and the Somers Touchdown Club, and has served as a team manager and participant in the annual Somers Relay for Life event.

In February 2012, she became a parent mentor for the young men who started Let’s Play it Forward, an organization that collects gently used sports equipment and donates it to children and organizations in need around the world. Teresa is also a volunteer at the Katonah Community Center and was very involved in Superstorm Sandy relief efforts in Staten Island and Long Beach, NY. She is married to Dino Lombardi and they have two sons, John and Anthony.

The honorees are Bob Antonucci, Teresa Lombardi and Paul Saia. Read about Antonucci here and look for the article about Saia on Friday.
