Somers Track & Field Booster Club Holds 1st Turkey Trot

There will be a timed 5K race and a fun run.

SOMERS, NY — Somers Track & Field Booster Club is holding its first Turkey Trot. The race will take place Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28.

Organizers said the 5K timed trail race will begin at 8 a.m. The signup fee is $30 through Nov. 26. On the day of the race the fee will be $40

Awards will be presented to the top three men and women in eight different age groups.

A 1-mile fun run will take off at 9 a.m. Finishers will get medals. The signup fee is $10 through Nov. 26. The day of the race fee will be $15.

Both races will be at Somers High School's scenic cross country course.

Online registration is open through Nov. 26. Same day on-site registration will occur from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
