New three-way stop — and police enforcement there — has some drivers riled up • Asheville Watchdog (avlwatchdog.org) — Drivers in north Asheville are getting ticketed at the newly converted three-way stop at Beaverdam Road and Kimberly Avenue, where APD's Traffic Safety Unit wrote more than 100 citations in two days. Police and NCDOT say the change and heavy enforcement aim to cut crashes and protect nearby school traffic, while some residents question the intense presence of patrol cars there.
