CHCCS High Schools Win State Championships in Women's Lacrosse, Women's Soccer (chapelboro.com) — Carrboro High’s women’s soccer team just captured the 4A state championship, their sixth title and first since 2019, capping a 25-match unbeaten run. Chapel Hill High also made history with its first-ever women’s lacrosse state crown, giving Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools a banner weekend on the statewide stage.
   

2. Circle Jerks Reveal September U.S. Tour With Municipal Waste, Haywire, Negative Approach & Upchuck (themosh.net) — Circle Jerks are bringing their stacked punk tour to Carrboro’s Cat’s Cradle on September 17, joined by Municipal Waste and Negative Approach. Fans can jump on the presale starting Wednesday, June 3 at 10 a.m. using the shared password, with other Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic dates rounding out the run.
   

3. Carrboro Man Arrested, Charged With Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (chapelboro.com) — A Carrboro resident has been arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and is being held without bond on multiple felony counts related to alleged sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators say a tip to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in January led to Monday’s arrest. Local readers are also reminded that RAINN offers 24/7 confidential support for victims of sexual abuse.
   

4. 'Just devastating': 12 disabled students left out of Chapel Hill High School yearbook (dailytarheel.com) — Families in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools community are speaking out after 12 disabled students, including siblings of a former CHCCS teacher, were left out of Chapel Hill High School’s 2025-26 yearbook. The school has apologized, offered refunds, and plans to reprint some yearbooks, while parents push for broader fixes and district leaders review yearbook procedures to prevent future exclusions.
