North Falls Lake Area Study seeks community feedback (wakeweekly.com) — Creedmoor residents are invited to a May 19 open house at Creedmoor Community Center to weigh in on a long-range growth and transportation plan for southern Granville County. The North Falls Lake Area Study will guide where future homes, businesses, roads, and trails go through 2055, including in Creedmoor, Butner, Oxford, and nearby areas. Feedback is open online through May 26.
   

2. Downey declines pay hike request (theledgernews.com) — Creedmoor’s mayor has refused a city commissioner’s public request to voluntarily cut his salary after the board stripped him of most official duties and began proceedings to remove him from office. Residents at the May 5 board meeting were divided, with some urging patience until court cases conclude and others calling for his resignation and warning about the cost of a drawn‑out removal effort.
   

3. Hiring Veterans: Jobs of the week for May 11, 2026 (va.gov) — Veterans in Creedmoor may want to note a Facility Environmental Supervisor opening with Altec listed among this week’s nationwide job leads. Rep.
