3. 2nd arrest in Durham County AC system thefts; heist value tops $1.2 million with new reported case: Deputies (cbs17.com) — Durham County deputies have arrested a second suspect in a string of high-value air conditioning thefts, including a $900,000 system stolen from Glenn Elementary School in Durham. Three separate chiller thefts across Durham and nearby Research Triangle Park now total more than $1.2 million in equipment and damage, with one suspect from Durham and another from Spring Lake both facing multiple felony charges and one held without bond.
