ECU Health brings Penny pinchers tour to Food Lion (wnct.com) — A Food Lion on Stantonsburg Road in Greenville recently hosted ECU Health's Penny Pinchers Tour, a monthly program that teaches shoppers how to buy healthy food on a budget. Pitt County residents who join the tour get practical label-reading tips, meal ideas, and a $15 gift card to practice what they've learned. Organizers say anyone in the county is welcome to participate. 
2. Body of Black man found in Greenville, NC's Tar River (hip-hopvibe.com) — A kayaker on the Tar River near Greenville's Town Common discovered the body of 32-year-old Damon Williams of Beulaville on Sunday morning, prompting a Greenville Police investigation. Authorities say there's currently no evidence of foul play, and the Pitt County Medical Examiner is working to determine cause of death. The park and river remain open as the community awaits answers.
3. ECU hosts Get a Clue event for thousands of students (wnct.com) — ECU's Get A Clue fair in Greenville is drawing thousands of students to explore 260 campus clubs, departments, and local businesses, helping newcomers plug into the community. Organizers say it's a key chance to discover ways to get involved, meet people, and learn what Greenville offers beyond the classroom.

NC leaders mourn the loss of country music icon Dolly Parton (wcti12.com) — Greenville Mayor PJ Connelly is joining other North Carolina leaders in honoring Dolly Parton, highlighting how her Imagination Library directly benefited local children through Sheppard Memorial Library.
