A woman was shot and killed early Tuesday morning during an early morning armed robbery in east Charlotte, according to police, who are asking for the public's help in finding two suspects who fled the crime scene.

How Likely Space Station Will Hit Someone In North Carolina
It might sound like a bad joke, but a space station the size of a bus is literally falling out of the sky and parts of it are expected to hit Earth on April Fools' Day, give or take a day and half. And while the odds that someone is hit by space debris in Charlotte β or even in North Carolina β are pretty small, it has happened at least one other time in the U.S.
This NC TV Station Aired Sinclairβs Media-Bashing Script
Local TV news viewers in western North Carolina may have recently noticed two anchors reciting a script handed down by Sinclair Broadcast Group warning viewers of the perils of biased and false news pervasive on social media. Those same anchors β from Asheville-based ABC affiliate WLOS, which also serves the western Charlotte metro market β likely also vowed to report fairly and accurately, and asked you to comment on their website if you thought reporting crossed ethical lines.

A Charlotte-area Red Lobster's health rating was dropped last week after a health inspector found employees in the kitchen weren't washing their hands properly and dirty equipment in the kitchen.
I-77 Ramp Open In Mooresville After Overturned Truck Accident
Traffic has resumed on an on-ramp to Interstate 77 South at River Highway (Highway 150) after crews successfully rightsided an overturned tractor trailer truck that had blocked the ramp Thursday afternoon, according to Mooresville Fire & Rescue.
New Hurricane Predictions For 2018 Season: What NC Can Expect
While last year's Hurricane Irma will not soon be forgotten in the Sunshine State and Puerto Rico is still reeling from Maria, weather researchers at Colorado State University said on Thursday they are predicting a slightly above-average Atlantic Hurricane season in 2018. The university's Tropical Meteorology Project team is predicting 14 named storms between June 1 to Nov. 30. Of those, researchers expect seven to become hurricanes and three to reach major hurricane strength.
