IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A woman awaiting trial for charges of statutory rape of a 15-year-old foster child living in her care now stands accused of stalking and intimidating the alleged victim over the span of nearly five months, according to Iredell Sheriff’s Office.

Christina Davis Jolly, 43, was arrested March 29 for violating conditions of her pretrial release after she followed the boy as he walked home from school. It marked her third arrest for charges related to the victim and the second time she had violated conditions of her pretrial release, according to authorities.

Jolly, who lives in Statesville, was initially arrested and charged in August 2018 with multiple sex offenses of a 15-year-old boy she was fostering. She was charged with five counts of felony statutory rape of a child 15 or younger and two counts of felony statutory sex offense of a child 15 or younger.

At the time of her arrest, Jolly was a teacher at North Iredell Middle School. She was suspended by Iredell-Statesville Schools following her August arrest but later resigned from her job in January 2019, according to reports. Her resignation came shortly after she was arrested a second time on Dec. 27 after authorities learned she emailed the child, which was in direct violation of the terms of her bond.

According to ICSO, investigators later discovered that Jolly had been giving the victim money on a financial card for months after her initial arrest. In early February, ICSO’s Special Victim’s Unit received a tip that she had also driven her car past the victim several times “in a manner so she could be seen” by him as he walked home from school, ICSO said.

By collecting surveillance footage from neighbors, ICSO detectives confirmed that a vehicle matching the description of Jolly’s was in the area. As the investigation progressed, investigators then collected doorbell camera footage that captured footage of a March 20 incident when Jolly stopped the boy and spoke with him for several minutes, ICSO said.

The incidents occurred between late October 2018 through March 20, ICSO said.

Jolly now faces charges of felony stalking and felony intimidating a state witness, as well as violation of pretrial conditions, ICSO said. Her secured bond for violating her pretrial release was set at $200,000, and an additional $100,000 was set for the new charges.
