• Stella man accused of box cutter attack, burglary (wcti12.com) — Morehead City police have charged a Stella resident in connection with a violent incident at an occupied Brook Street apartment, where a person was seriously injured with a box cutter. The man faces multiple felony counts, including first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held in the Carteret County Jail on a secured bond. 
• Multiple fire departments respond to Atlantic Beach structure fire (wcti12.com) — Morehead City firefighters were among several Carteret County crews called to help battle a Sunday evening structure fire in Atlantic Beach near Hoop Pole Creek Drive. The blaze was brought under control, but officials have not yet shared details on injuries, damage, or what sparked the fire.
