β’ 81-year-old man missing for days saved by marine patrol officer, NC officials say (newsobserver.com) β An 81-year-old Oriental man whoβd been missing for several days was found unconscious in a remote area and kept alive by a quick-acting state marine patrol officer. Jonathan Morris, who works primarily around Oriental, reached the scene within minutes, provided basic life support until EMS arrived, and was later commended by Pamlico County Emergency Services.
