• North Carolina businessman offered to pay $30,000 for a double murder, ATF says (newsobserver.com) — A Plymouth man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty in a murder-for-hire scheme targeting two people in Philadelphia. Investigators say undercover ATF agents intercepted his plan, including text messages and a cash payment to what he believed was a hitman. The intended victims' identities were not released.
