• June 26, 1937-August 29, 2026 (thebeacon.net) — Cleveland Heights readers are remembering Connie Brand, who raised her family here and later worked in public relations for the City of Cleveland Heights to help newcomers integrate into the community. A lifelong volunteer, she sang in church choirs, supported fair-trade and food-security efforts in Port Clinton, and helped build a local marina business before donating her body to medical education.
