• Volunteers honored for dedicated service to Jackson County 4-H Program (thetelegramnews.com) — Jackson County's 4-H community recently celebrated volunteers and supporters who keep local youth programs thriving, including longtime leader Jamey Sexton and Friends of 4-H like Clara McGinnis and Wellston's VFW Post 9092. With nearly 500 youth and over 119 volunteers involved, the program relies heavily on Jackson County residents, and locals are invited to learn more or get involved through the county Extension office. 
• Open House on Tuesday to provide information on Pike DOE Plant site redevelopment (thetelegramnews.com) — Jackson residents can learn today how the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Pike County is being transformed at a community open house from 4–6 p.m. at ParksEdge Event Center on East Main Street. Developers behind new energy, data center, and manufacturing projects, along with the U.S. Department of Energy, will be on hand to answer questions and share redevelopment plans.
• One flown from single vehicle roll over crash on US 50 (athensmessenger.com) — A serious single-vehicle rollover on US 50 in nearby Madison Township is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Jackson Post after a Hamden driver was flown to Columbus with serious injuries. The crash, just a short drive from Jackson, drew response from Vinton County EMS, Zaleski Fire, and the sheriff's office and remains under investigation.
