Concord-based Visit Mickey Vacations has received a prestigious service award from Disney for its exceptional sales and magical service, according to agency owner Patricia Scott.
The local travel agency has been helping families plan Disney vacations since 2014. Scott said Thursday that Visit Mickey Vacations specializes in arranging trips for children with special needs.
"We are so honored to receive this award from Disney. It truly validates our decision to launch our own travel agency. We had already chosen to be highly focused on Family Travel to Disney Destinations. But, we were also offering another niche, Expertise in Special Needs Travel. The founders of Visit Mickey both have Special Needs children and felt the community was not being well served in the travel industry. As we have grown, we have more agents with Special Needs children and a Special Education Teacher. This has really been a Dream Come True"
