The Hatboro Wawa is now selling alcohol. Meanwhile, billboard regulations have been proposed in Abington Township.

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA —The new Wawa in Hatboro is now serving alcohol. A nearby bakery is holding its grand opening. And businesses who want to promote themselves on billboards will have to settle for smaller signs.

Wawa Now Selling Alcohol in Hatboro
The Wawa convenience store at the corner of York and Horsham roads in Hatboro is now selling wine and beer. Hatboro Borough Council voted against the measure, but Wawa challenged the ruling, and borough officials settled Wawa's appeal after being advised that a court battle would be costly. The Hatboro Wawa alcohol sales conditions and policies are similar to the Wawa on Horsham Road near the Whitemarsh cemetery. (Read More)

Billboard Size Regulation Planned In Abington Township
Big billboards will be banned in Abington Township down the road. The Abington Township Board of Commissioners recently unanimously voted 13-0 to authorize amending a zoning ordinance to regulate the size of billboards. Township Manager Richard Manfredi explained that the impetus for the decision has been inquiries by various companies to place billboards in locations that may not be suitable in the township. Alto Bakery & Caffe Holding Grand Opening
Alto Bakery & Caffè —the spinoff business of the popular Italian market Altomonte's —is holding its grand opening on Saturday in Warminster. The cafe will offer free samplings, water ice, prizes, and a cannoli-eating contest where the winner will win free cannoli for a month, organizers said. The grand opening is at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the new establishment at 560 W. Street Rd. The bakery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Read More)

Trump-Harris 2nd Cookie Tally By Hatboro Bakery: Who Won?
Just days before the presidential debate, Lochel's Bakery released its second tally of political cookie sales between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. Amazon Fresh Opening 4th PA Store
Amazon Fresh is expanding its footprint in Pennsylvania, opening its fourth location in the state —and third in Bucks County —next week. The Sept. 26 opening of Amazon Fresh's Oxford Valley store comes about a month after another supermarket opened on Street Road in Bensalem Township. The new 44,500-square-foot store will be located at 2424 Lincoln Highway in Langhorne and be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week. (Read More)
