2 More Homes Burglarized In Lower Merion Last Week

Since July, there have been 14 break-ins reported in various sections of Lower Merion Township.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Lower Merion Township reported two more home burglaries late last week, bringing the total number of residential burglaries in the township last week to seven, and 14 total since early July.

Police said on Thursday, Aug. 2, a home on the 100 block of Upland Terrace in Bala Cynwyd was hit by burglars between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The burglars got inside the home through an unlocked window at the back of the home.

After getting inside the home the burglars stole jewelry and electronics, police said.

Then at about 5:53 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, police responded to a residential burglar alarm at a home on the 300 block of Calvery Road in Merion, police said.

The burglars forced open a sliding glass door to get inside.

Police said its unclear what was stolen from that home.

These two mark seven burglaries in the township last week.

Police said a home on the 200 block of Lippincott Avenue in Ardmore was hit by burglars during the daytime Tuesday, July 31.

On Monday, the guns were stolen from an Ardmore home on the 200 block of Mill Creek Road during a daytime burglary.

Additionally, Wynnewood homes on the 700 block of Greythorne Road and 100 the block of Rock Glen Road were burglarized Saturday, July 28.

A home on the 100 block of Glenn Road in Ardmore was broken into on Sunday, July 29, as well.
