Good news for the Lower Merion Library System!

Two Lower Merion Libraries have reason to celebrate, as one is holding its grand reopening soon and the other was awarded a grant from the state.

The Gladwyne Free Library will hold its grand reopening at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25 after getting nearly $2 million in renovations and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant upgrades.

Over in Bala Cynwyd, the Bellmont Hills Library might be looking to make renovations, too, as it was named one of 27 libraries across Pennsylvania to be awarded a Keystone Grant.

The library will be getting $500,000 from the grant program, according to Gov. Tom Wolf's recent announcement.
