Central Bucks South Is District's Highest-Ranked In New Analysis

Central Bucks South was the highest-ranked high school in the district, coming in 18th in the state in a newly released ranking by Niche.com. South was ranked as second-best public high school in Bucks County.

Central Bucks East followed, coming in third in Bucks County and 21st in Pennsylvania. West was ranked 32nd in the state. The highest-ranked public high school in all of Bucks County was Council Rock North. The top high school in Pennsylvania, according to Niche, is Conestoga High School.

To arrive at the rankings, the schools were given a letter grade in the following categories: academics; teachers; diversity; college prep; clubs & activities; and health & safety. Click here to see full list of the top 100 public high schools in Pennsylvania.

Niche said the grades were created after analyzing data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the rankings and the methodology here.)

Niche.com released the list of the best public high schools as part of its 2019 K-12 rankings. Niche also released an analysis of the state's best school districts. You can see that here.

According to Niche's rankings, the best public high school in the country is Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois.
