Drunk Pa. Man Set Up Fake DUI Checkpoint: Cops

In a bizarre case of the pot calling the kettle black, a Pennsylvania man who set up a DUI checkpoint while pretending to be a state trooper was drunk, according to reports.
Police say 19-year-old Logan Shaulis of Somerset parked his vehicle across State Route 601 in Lincoln Township early Saturday and began stopping drivers, asking for their driver’s license, registration and insurance, according to a report by the Associated Press.
He even set up road flares. A neighbor who saw Shaulis in action told www.wearecentralpa.com he identified himself to at least one driver as trooper Steve Rogers, which is Captain America’s name.

According to the Associated Press, the real troopers arrived and charged him with drunken driving, impersonating a public servant and unlawful restraint.
According to online records, Shaulis will have a preliminary hearing on June 9.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania State Police are seeking drivers who were stopped by Shaulis.
