Homelessness In Bucks County Topic Of Doylestown Presentation

The presentation will take place on Monday, March 18 at St. Mary's Hall in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (OLMC) and the Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG) are teaming up to present a program on combating homelessness within Bucks County. The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, will be held at St. Mary's Hall located across from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on State Street.

"The issue of homelessness is a pressing concern affecting communities nationwide, and Bucks
County is no exception," said BCHG leaders. "In response to this urgent need, BCHG is dedicated to fostering awareness and providing tangible solutions to address homelessness within our region."

Monday's presentation is expected to shed light on the complexities surrounding homelessness in Bucks County and will feature insights from Erik Clare, BCHG’s executive director, and LaShana Thompson, BCHG’s social services manager. Attendees can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of homelessness, current challenges individuals and families face, and effective strategies for intervention and support.
