Swim, bike & run raised over $16,000 to benefit local charities and families in need

The Marshall Financial/Warrington Cares Sprint Triathlon took place Sunday, September 10, 2023 with a record number of 213 participants, ranging in age from 10 to 74-years-old. The event began and ended at the Mary Barness Community Pool, located at 2501 Freedoms Way, Warrington, PA 18976. The race consisted of a 300-meter swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 5K run through the streets of Warrington.

In addition to the Triathlon, athletes participated in:
Aquavelo—a two-part race consisting of a 300-meter swim and a 10-mile bike ride
Duathlon—a two-part race consisting of a 10-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run
Triathlon Relay—a team of three people who each perform a segment of the race individually.

The Aquavelo, Duathlon, Triathlon and Triathlon Relay were suited for persons starting out as triathletes and those who were training for major triathlons. Medals were awarded to the top three finishers for men and women and for the top three finishers in each age category.

The Marshall Financial/Warrington Care Sprint Triathlon is the major fundraiser for Warrington Cares, raising $16,000 this year and over $100,000 over the past five races.
