Last week's school shooting in Florida has put student safety in the forefront. So how does Central Bucks compare to other Pennsylvania school districts when it comes to safety?
A recent ranking by data compiler Niche.com reveals the state's safest districts. Central Bucks was ranked 12th out of 497 districts, according to the website, which analyzes various aspects of education and communities.
The list was created using information from the U.S. Department of Education, the FBI, parent reviews and other data, according to Niche. To compile the ranking, 50 percent was based on parent and student surveys on health and safety. Student absenteeism, suspensions and expulsions were also factored into the rankings, well as percentage of students referred to law enforcement and school-related arrests.

Central Bucks received an A+ for health and safety from the website.
"I like that this district is prepared to bring out the best of its students. The teachers are all welcoming to help students when they need help. There are also a plentiful amount of resources for lessons and tools for when people may need them. The district overall has amazing school spirit in each of the schools and no one is excluded," said one recent review of the district shared to Niche.

"I am currently a junior attending Central Bucks West High School, it's an amazing school. There are plenty of clubs, very little to no bullying, and the teachers are very flexible and willing to help every student," another review said.
Other Bucks County districts that were included in the top 100 safest list are Council Rock, New Hope-Solebury and Neshaminy.
