Hosted by the Doylestown Historical Society, the event features talks on the Daughters of the American Revolution's local gravestone restoration work and powerful stories of female courage and influence in 1776, with registration recommended due to limited seating.

Senator Steve Santarsiero and Representative Tim Brennan Announce Almost $3,000,000 in Grants for Doylestown, New Hope Area (pasenate.com) — Nearly $3 million in state grants are heading to Doylestown-area institutions, funding everything from a new courier van for Doylestown Hospital to revitalizing the Doylestown Y skatepark and upgrading local police radios. Additional money supports Moravian Tile Works, American Legion Post 210, and safety improvements at the Oscar Hammerstein Museum, bringing tangible upgrades to culture, safety, and recreation around town.

3. DA Escalates Lawsuit Against Bucks Co. Slumlords With Amended Complaint (patch.com) — From his Doylestown office, Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan is intensifying a consumer protection lawsuit against R&R Enterprises over an allegedly unsafe Dublin rooming house. He's filed an amended complaint demanding a decade of financial and operational records to help more than a dozen former tenants seek restitution and answers about how the property was allowed to deteriorate.

4. Bucks Co. Man Sentenced For Shooting At Doordash Driver (patch.com) — At the Bucks County Justice Center in Doylestown, a 33-year-old man was sentenced to four to ten years in state prison for firing at a DoorDash driver in Richlandtown last year. Prosecutors say the unprovoked attack shattered the victim's rear window but miraculously caused no injuries, and the court also ordered restitution and a mental health evaluation.

5. Mobility device helps Doylestown man regain independence after AVM ruptures (6abc.com) — A 29-year-old Doylestown man is regaining independence after two brain bleeds left his right side paralyzed, thanks to a wearable mobility device that stimulates his leg muscles as he walks. After years of intensive rehab, he's progressed from a wheelchair to walking, biking again, and even taking his dog out, showing how new technology can support local stroke and AVM survivors.
