Sign & Shine, Earth Angel Awards To Launch Breast Cancer Fundraising Month In Bucks (patch.com) — Doylestown residents will see Thompson Toyota and other local spots turn into hubs for Main St.'s breast cancer fundraising, starting with a Sign and Shine event under a pink arch on September 29. A full slate of October activities in and around Doylestown will raise money for Bucks County breast cancer patients treated at area centers, including Penn Medicine Doylestown Health.
   

2. Food Drive Celebrates Dolly Parton Day In Doylestown Borough (patch.com) — Doylestown Borough residents are being asked to celebrate Dolly Parton Day by dropping off unopened, nonperishable food at Borough Hall on Doyle Street through Friday. All donations will support the New Britain Food Pantry in nearby Warrington Township, turning a playful nod to Parton's "9 to 5" into a local service project that helps neighbors in need.
   

3. Henry Mercer Rescued the Tools Industrial America Threw Away (bucksco.today) — Doylestown's Mercer Museum at 84 S. Pine Street is spotlighted for its vast collection of early American tools and everyday objects, all preserved in Henry Mercer's striking concrete castle. The piece traces Mercer's local roots, his passion for saving handmade artifacts, and how his three Doylestown landmarks now anchor Bucks County's historical identity and tourism.
   

4. Some $20M in PA grants come to Bucks County. What your town will get (centredaily.com) — Doylestown is in line for a share of nearly $20 million in new state grants, including funding tied to a Doylestown Skatepark revitalization project and other local initiatives. The money, distributed through Pennsylvania's Local Share Account gaming program, will support infrastructure, emergency services, preservation, and social services across Bucks County communities.
