Body Found By Divers In Delco Confirmed As Man Missing Since 2003
Authorities confirmed on Monday the identity of the man found in the water by a Youtube dive team as a 38-year-old father.
DARBY, PA — Authorities confirmed on Monday the identity of a man found in the water in Delaware County recently by a team of widely known Youtube divers.
The body is indeed that of James Amabile, 38, who left his home in Folsom in 2003 to pick up his daughters from a babysitter's house. He was never seen alive again.
The Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office said on Tuesday they made a positive identification through the use of dental records. While the dive team that found Amabile was confident the remains belonged to him, authorities said that it could take months to actually confirm the Amabile's identity.

The group Adventures With Purpose, which has more than 2 million followers on YouTube, said they found Amabile 24 feet below the water in Darby Creek, some 200 yards away from Stingers Waterfront in Ridley Park.
Adventures With Purpose then contacted local authorities and a joint effort led to remains being pulled from the water.
