Delco Community College Hosting Virtual Expungement Clinic

Paralegal students from Delaware County Community College and Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania​​ are hosting the clinic March 27.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A virtual expungement clinic is being held later this month thanks to Delaware County Community College and Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 27 via Zoom.

Paralegal students from Delaware County Community College under the supervision of attorneys from Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania will host the clinic.

Registration is required and can be done online here.

The deadline to register is March 19.

According to organizers, some convictions cannot be expunged.

Convictions that can be expunged are for those who have arrests without convictions, have misdemeanor convictions more than 10 years old, who are older than 70 and their convictions is more than 10 years old, and who passed away three years ago and can be granted posthumous expungement.

To qualify for expungement, participants must have paid all fines and completed any probation.

This clinic does not handle cases for arrests/convictions that happened in Philadelphia or outside of Pennsylvania.
