Delco Man Charged In Capitol Riot After Ex-Girlfriend Reports Him
A man from Ridley Park has been charged after his ex-girlfriend, who he reportedly texted while at the Capitol, reported him to the FBI.
RIDLEY PARK, PA — Another Delaware County resident has been arrested and charged in connection with the riot that took place at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6.
According to the FBI, Richard Michetti of Ridley Park has been charged with illegally entering Capitol grounds, obstruction of Congress, and related crimes.
Michetti was arraigned Tuesday in Philadelphia federal court and released on unsecured bail with electronic monitoring.

The charges come after Michetti's ex-girlfriend reportedly turned him in to the FBI.
Michetti is alleged to have texted his ex-girlfriend on Jan. 6, calling her "a moron" if she didn't "see the election was stolen," a line echoed by President Donald Trump with no evidence to support it, according to court records.

His ex-girlfriend turned over text messages, photos, and videos sent to her from Michetti to the FBI on Jan. 7, court documents show.
The documents show photos of a man, alleged to be Michetti, inside the Capitol amid others on Jan. 6.
The charges could lead to 20 years in prison.
Michetti is the second person from Delaware County to be charged in connection with the riots.
Robert Sanford, 55, of Upper Chichester, faces three felony crimes stemming from the Jan. 6 incident.
