Delco Man Wanted For Shooting That Killed 7-Year-Old Philly Boy
Michael Banks, 30, whose last known address is in Darby, is wanted in connection with a shootout that killed 7-year-old Zamar Jones.

DARBY, PA — A man who has a last known address in Delaware County is wanted in connection with a shootout that killed a 7-year-old boy in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police said Michael Banks, 30, whose last known addresses are the 10 block of North 10th Street in Darby, as well as the 2100 block of South Dagget Street in Philadelphia, is wanted in connection with a shootout that killed 7-year-old Zamar Jones in Philadelphia Saturday.
A $20,000 reward is available for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Banks is one of three men accused of being involved in a shootout out the 200 block of North Simpson Street in Philadelphia at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
At that time, Zamar Jones, 7, was on his porch when two groups of men exchanged gunfire. One round struck Zamar in the head. He was later pronounced dead Monday afternoon.

Damar Bashir Jones, 27, whose last known address is on the 2000 block of South Salford Street in Philadelphia, is also wanted in connection with the shooting.
One other person, 27-year-old Christopher Linder, has been charged with attempted murder, tampering with evidence, aggravated assault, and related crimes.
Jones is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Banks is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.
Jones and Banks are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees them should not approach them and instead call 911 immediately.
