Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Assault, Identity Theft, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their most recent crime blotter Thursday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 24 and March. 2.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issues.

INCIDENTS:

• Identity Theft at the 1900 block of Chestnut Circle on Feb. 24 at 10:17 a.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits using his identity.
• Bicycle Theft at the unit block of Hannum Drive on Feb. 25 at 7:55 p.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of Person Lane on Feb. 25 at 4:31 p.m. – Vehicle hood, sunroof, windshield and interior roof of a vehicle was damaged.
• Public Drunkenness at E. Township Line and Chatham Roads on Feb. 25 at 1:04 a.m. – 33-year-old male, 5600 block of Pentridge Street, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness.
• Public Drunkenness at 1400 block of Lawrence Road on Feb. 25 at 11:26 a.m. – 61-year-old female, 200 block of Hastings Avenue was cited for public drunkenness.
• Theft at the 1700 block of Earlington Road on Feb. 26 at 11:23 a.m. – Fog light cover panel was stolen from a vehicle.
• Fraud at the 700 block of Wynnewood Road on Feb. 26 at 8:25 a.m. – Victim reported that she was contacted by a subject who identified himself as a representative of Tech Support. They requested that she send them $4,500 worth of gift cards. The victim did recognize the same and contacted police.
• Fraud at the 500 block of East Manoa Road on Feb. 26 at 9:45 a.m. – Victim was scammed out of $5,000 from a person claiming to be from Amazon.
• Public Drunkenness at the 300 block of Earlington Road on Feb. 27 at 3:30 a.m. – 53-year-old male, 2900 block of Rising Sun Road was cited for public drunkenness.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of David Drive on Feb. 28 at 2:23 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Theft at the 1400 block of Ashton Road on March 1 at 6:26 p.m. – Victim received a call from an unknown male. The caller stated that her social security number was compromised and being used for money laundering and that she needed to “buy” a new social security number. The victim provided the caller with $4,000 in gift cards before realizing it was suspicious.
• Public Drunkenness at Bryn Mawr Extended Care, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on March 1 at 3:55 p.m. – 25-year-old female, 1200 block of Mount Vernon Road, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness.
• Fraud at the 200 block of James Drive on March 2 at 3:29 p.m. – Numerous unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of Woodbine Road on March 2 at 8:31 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using his identity.
• Identity Theft at the 400 block of Strathmore Road on March 2 at 12:13 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a checking account using his identity and cashed a $200 check from the account.

• 47-year-old male, unit block of Dexter Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 20 at 10:27 p.m.
• 39-year-old female, 6600 block of Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 20 at 11:12 p.m.
• 24-year-old female, 1300 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 1300 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 25 at 6:59 p.m.
• 29-year-old male, unit block of Burchneal Court, Felton, Delaware. Charges: Warrant. Location: 700 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 25 at 8:30 a.m.
• 43-year-old male, unit block of Eaton Court, Stratford, NJ. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, suspended driver’s license and traffic violations. Location: Kathmere and Beverly Roads. Date: Feb. 26 at 8:17 a.m.
• 44-year-old male, 100 block of Terrace Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 27 at 3:30 p.m.
• 24-year-old female, 7700 block of West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Feb. 27 at 1:09 p.m.
• 29-year-old male, 700 block of Rively Avenue, Glenolden. Charges: DUI. Location: Darby and Eagle Roads. Date: March 1 at 12:48 a.m.
• 44-year-old female, unit block of 62nd Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: March 1 at 12:30 p.m.
