Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Fraud, Vandalism, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Dec. 30 at 6:26 p.m. – 32-year-old male, 2200 block of Gilham Road, Broomall, was cited for the retail theft of $148 worth of merchandise.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Colfax Road on Dec. 30 at 4:46 p.m. – Victim reported that two checks were fraudulently written and cashed.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m. – An unknown female was observed stealing an unknown amount of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Manoa Beverage, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 31 at 6:24 p.m. – An unknown male stole $35.97 worth of beer and fled.
• Vandalism at Steel Field, 1400 block of Steel Road, on Jan. 1 at 11:35 a.m. – Graffiti was reported.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Jan. 2 at 12:41 p.m. – Christmas lights were cut.
• Burglary at Haverford Hill Condominiums, 400 block of Glendale Road, on Jan. 3 at 11:30 a.m. – Victim reported that various items were removed from her apartment.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on Jan. 4 at 10:06 a.m.
• Identity Theft at the unit block of Garlor Drive on Jan. 4 at 1:45 p.m. – Victim reported that three unauthorized purchases were made with her credit card.
• Liquor Law Violation at Tip O’Leary’s, 300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 4 at 12:58 p.m. – 20-year-old female, 19-year-old male, and 20-year-old male were cited for underage drinking.
• Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 5 at 7:21 p.m. – Cell phone was stolen from the customer service desk.

ARRESTS:

• 49-year-old male, unit block of Annabella Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Strangulation, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. Location: unit block of Annabella Avenue. Date: Jan. 1 at 1:03 a.m.
• 55-year-old male, 1800 block of Butler Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Citizens Bank, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 4 at 3:27 p.m.
