Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Vandalism, Identity Theft

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have issued their crime blotter from Feb. 3 to Feb. 8.
The blotter features incidents that occurred in that time, as well as arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:
- Identity Theft at the 3000 block of Robin Lane on Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits using his identity.
- Vandalism at the 100 block of Fairfield Road on Feb. 3 at 9:34 p.m. – Residence was egged.
- Vandalism at the unit block of Kathleen Court on Feb. 3 at 11:07 p.m. – Residence was egged.
- Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Feb. 4 at 8:52 p.m. – An unknown female stole $87.97 worth of diapers.
- Fraud at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on Feb. 4 at 3:22 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
- Attempted Theft at the 1800 block of Belvedere Avenue on Feb. 5 at 9:41 a.m. – Victim reported that she was the victim of a phone scam. She received a text message from a person claiming to be from her Church and requested that she send gift cards for parishioners that are “shut-ins” and “suffering from cancer.” She became suspicious and did not send the gift cards.
- Identity Theft at the unit block of Lisa Circle on Feb. 5 at 10:05 a.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits using his identity.
- Attempted Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of Township Line Road, on Feb. 6 at 10:35 p.m. – An employee observed two unknown males fill a shopping cart and attempt to leave without paying. The suspects fled and left the cart of groceries when he confronted them.
- Vandalism at the 300 block of Mill Road on Feb. 6 at 1:13 p.m. – Library box door window was damaged.
- Burglary at Wyndmoor Apartments, 100 block of South Eagle Road, on Feb. 8 at 1:58 p.m. – Forced entry was made to the boiler room and the circuit breaker to the heat and sump pump were turned off.
- Attempted Theft at Tip O’Leary’s, 300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 8 at 10:02 p.m. – An employee reported that she observed two males attempting to steal cooking oil from a locked container in the rear of the property.

- 25-year-old female, 200 block of Copley Road, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana, accident causing damage to unattended vehicle and required financial responsibility. Location: 2300 block of Haverford Road. Date: Feb. 9 at 1:59 a.m.
- 41-year-old male, 400 block of Lawrence Road, Havertown. Charges: Warrant. Location: 400 block of Lawrence Road. Date: Feb. 9 at 3:38 p.m.
