HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township Police issued their most recent crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between March 10 and March 23.

  • Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on March 10 at 9:31 p.m. – Victim reported that someone stole his wallet from the pocket of his sweatshirt. The wallet contained $257, credit cards and driver’s license.
  • Fraud at the 400 block of Valley Road on March 10 at 4:48 p.m. – Victim reported that she received a call from a person claiming to be from his credit card company. They stated that she had an outstanding balance on a MasterCard over $22,000. They advised her that they could settle the debt at 50 percent of the money owed if she immediately provided a credit card or bank account number. The victim did provide the information before realizing it was a scam.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of South Eagle Road on March 10 at 5:40 p.m. – Vehicle was scratched.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on March 11 at 8:42 p.m. – An unknown female exited the store with a cart of merchandise. She left the groceries when she was confronted by an employee.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Kenmore Road on March 11 at 11:37 a.m. – Multiple credit card accounts were opened using the victim’s identity.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Green Lane on March 11 at 7:41 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Verizon account and purchase two cell phones.
  • Vandalism at the 2300 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on March 11 at 3:58 p.m. – Graffiti was reported on the sidewalk and deck.
  • Theft at Bryn Mawr Trust Bank, unit block of West Eagle Road, on March 12 at 2:08 p.m. – The manager reported that a customer had a large amount of checks cashed without her knowledge.
  • Fraud at the 1600 block of Colony Lane on March 12 at 6:32 p.m. – Victim reported two unauthorized purchases made with her debit card.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on March 13 at 3:07 p.m. – Store Manager reported that an unknown female attempted to steal a cart full of diapers.
  • Theft at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on March 13 at 4:52 p.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed his bank account and removed $2,015.
  • Forgery at the 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike on March 13 at 10:35 a.m. – The victim reported that a previous employee has been fraudulently utilizing his prescription pad.
  • Fraud at the 1500 block of Ashton Road on March 13 at 11:36 a.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person gained access to his Pandemic Unemployment Assistance account and removed $1,000.
  • Public Drunkenness at the unit block of Woodbine Road on March 13 at 5:41 p.m. – 20-year-old male, 3500 block of Goshen Road, Newtown Square was cited for public drunkenness, disordering conduct, underage drinking and carrying false identification.
  • Public Drunkenness at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on March 13 at 11:27 a.m. – 22-year-old female, unit block of Brookline Boulevard was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Identity Theft at the unit block of Coopertown Road on March 14 at 3:57 p.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Theft at the Manoa Shopping Center, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on March 16 at 7:24 p.m. – License plate was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 600 block of Ashurst Road on March 16 at 7:30 a.m.
  • Fraud at the 2400 block of Poplar Road on March 16 at 1:32 p.m. – Victim received a phone call from a person claiming to be from the IRS. The caller asked him about his biographical information.
  • Identity Theft at the 2900 block of Haverford Road on March 17 at 9:39 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Identity Theft at the 600 block of Washington Avenue on March 17 at 4:12 p.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits using her identity.
  • Fraud at the 700 block of Polo Road on March 21 at 2:28 p.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment using her identity.
  • Fraud at the 400 block of Hastings Avenue on March 21 at 7:13 p.m. – Victim reported that someone fraudulently cashed a check for $3,500.
  • Identity Theft at the 1400 block of Lawndale Road on March 22 at 12:32 p.m. – Victim reported that he received an email from someone claiming to be his accountant. They requested he log in to an account and provide his name, date of birth and social security number. He became aware of the scam after providing his information.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Oxford Road on March 22 at 2:53 p.m. – Victim received three phone calls from an unknown male trying to convince her to buy $1,000 worth of gift cards. The victim did provide the caller with her social security number before she hung up.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1700 block of Powder Mill Lane on March 22 at 5:10 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Attempted Carjacking at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on March 23 at 9:52 a.m. – An unknown male attempted to gain entry into a running vehicle that was occupied by a female and her infant son. The female was able to drive away.
  • Theft at the Sunoco, 400 block of East Township Line Road, on March 23 at 10:37 a.m. – Victim reported that he dropped his money clip containing $960 when he was pumping gas. Video surveillance show an unknown male pick up the clip after it falls and leave in a vehicle.
  • Forgery at the 400 block of Earlington Road on March 23 at 8:56 a.m. – A check was altered to a larger amount and cashed.
  • Fraud at the 1500 block of Ashton Road on March 23 at 5:40 p.m. – The victim reported someone claiming to be from Microsoft requested his social security number and date of birth. He was advised to purchase gift cards. The victim did recognize the scam before he gave the caller the gift card information.

  • 35-year-old male, 1000 block of Bon Air Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. LOC: Euclid Avenue and Manoa Road. Date: March 10 at 4:23 p.m.
  • 39-year-old male, 1400 block of 54th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Receiving stolen property and suspended driver’s license. Location: 100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 12 at 2:53 p.m.
  • 36-year-old male, 400 block of Claremont Road, Bronx, NY. Charges: Forgery, Identity theft and possession of a controlled substance. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of West Eagle Road. Date: March 16 at 1:49 p.m.
