Haverford Crime Blotter: Catalytic Converter Thefts, DUI, Drugs

Police reported four instances of catalytic converters being stolen from vehicles at various locations in the township over the past week.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township have issued their weekly crime blotter.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 19 and Jan. 23.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Fraud at the unit block of Walnut Hill Lane on Jan. 19 at 10:17 a.m. – Victim reported that she was the victim of a phone scam.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Heatherwood Road on Jan. 19 at 5:44 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Jan. 20 at 8:19 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Ramblewood Drive on Jan. 20 at 1:59 p.m. – An employee reported that an unknown male stole a glass bong valued at $220.
  • Theft at the 1000 block of West Chester Pike on Jan. 21 at 8:54 a.m. – Two space heaters were stolen.
  • Theft at the unit block of Steel Road on Jan. 22 at 2:27 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Turnbull Avenue on Jan. 22 at 10:28 a.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed her unemployment account and changed the payment from direct deposit to paper checks.
  • Fraud at the 200 block of James Drive on Jan. 22 at 11:51 a.m. – Victim reported that a check was altered after he placed it in a mailbox. The bank discovered the fraud. The victim did not suffer a loss.
  • Fraud at the 2400 block of Old Buck Road on Jan. 22 at 2:06 p.m. – Victim reported that a check was altered and $5,500 was taken from his bank account.
  • Fraud at the 600 block of Country Club Lane on Jan. 22 at 2:01 p.m. – Victim reported that someone cashed a fraudulent check.
  • Criminal Mischief at the unit block of West Eagle Road on Jan. 22 at 8:59 a.m. – An unknown juvenile threw at rock at a vehicle causing the windshield to crack.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 1000 block of Bon Air Road on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Ivy Rock Lane on Jan. 23 at 3:41 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Fraud at the 1000 block of Hampstead Road on Jan. 23 at 4:01 p.m. – Victim reported that she mailed a check for $100. She discovered the check was altered and $8,700 was deposited into an unknown account.
  • Burglary at Citgo Gas Station, 700 block of Haverford Road, on Jan. 23 at 12:23 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through the rear door. Inspection and emission stickers were stolen.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Upland Road on Jan. 23 at 1:45 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Criminal Mischief at the Skatium, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Jan. 23 at 2:19 p.m. – Graffiti was reported in the locker room.

  • 44-year-old male, 2800 block of Almond Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Walnut Hill Lane. Date: Jan. 19 at 12:02 a.m.
  • 48-year-old female, unit block of Albert Avenue, Aldan. Charges: DUI. Location: 300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 22 at 1:08 a.m.
