Haverford Crime Blotter: Counterfeiting, Theft, Fraud, more

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday, and the details are below.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 28 and Aug. 2.

INCIDENTS:

  • Identity Theft – 11 residents reported that someone used their identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Theft at Merry Place, 600 block of Glendale Road on July 28 at 10:02 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, purse was stolen.
  • Theft at the 2400 block of Olcott Avenue on July 28 at 2:42 p.m. – An iron pot lawn ornament was stolen.
  • Counterfeiting at the unit block of West Eagle Road on July 28 at 8:19 a.m. – Store manager reported that five counterfeit bills were passed.
  • Identity Theft at the Ormond Avenue on July 28 at 2:11 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using his identity.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 400 block of Strathmore Road on July 28 at 5:40 p.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Theft at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on July 29 at 5:31 p.m. – Designer clothing was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Fraud at the 500 block of North Manoa Road on July 29 at 8:44 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his Walmart account to ship two items. The victim is not out any money as the subject did not use his credit card information.
  • Criminal Mischief at Skatium, 1000 block of West Darby Road, on July 30 at 10:04 a.m. – An unknown group of juveniles threw cheese at a vehicle.
  • Criminal Mischief at the Skatium, 1000 block of West. Darby Road on July 31 at 9:01 p.m. – Vehicle was egged.
  • Theft at O’Malley Moving and Hauling, unit block of Raymond Drive, on Aug. 2 at 10:01 a.m. – Victim reported that the fuel tank plug had been removed on two trucks and 60 gallons of fuel were removed from each truck.
  • Fraud at the 700 block of Homestead Avenue on Aug. 2 at 2:52 p.m. – Victim reported that someone rented a condominium using his identity. He was contacted by a collection agency stating that he owed $17,137.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Milard Lane on Aug. 2 at 6:27 p.m. – Someone opened a credit card account using the victim’s identity.

ARRESTS:

  • 24-year-old male, 700 block of Derwyn Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 30 at 2:56 a.m.
  • 39-year-old male, 1300 block of West Main Street, Norristown. Charges: Warrant. Location: 100 block of N. Drexel Avenue. Date: July 31 at 8:53 a.m.
  • 27-year-old female, 2700 block of Clayton Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 2 at 3:57 p.m.
  • 26-year-old male, 12000 block of Medford Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 2 at 3:57 p.m.
  • 30-year-old male, 300 block of Broad Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: West Township Line Road and Lansdowne Avenue. Date: Aug. 2 at 3:57 p.m.
  • 47-year-old female, 7000 block of Radbourne Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 3 at 4:41 p.m.
