Haverford Crime Blotter: Fraud, Theft, Stolen Vehicle, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township Police issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 18 and Aug. 24.

INCIDENTS:

• Motor Vehicle Theft at the unit block of Mercer Avenue on Aug. 18 at 9:05 a.m.
• Disorderly Conduct at the unit block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 18 at 10:32 p.m. – 39-year-old male, unit block of West Chester Pike was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Aug. 19 at 9:57 p.m. – An unknown male stole $974 worth of tools.
• Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 19 at 11:41 a.m. – An unknown male stole $45.73 worth of merchandise after the credit card he attempted to use was declined.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of Treaty Road on Aug. 19 at 9:50 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Upland Road on Aug. 19 at 12:57 p.m. – Victim reported that someone cancelled her debit card and opened up another card which was used to make four separate withdraws totaling $12,740.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. – An unknown male attempted to steal $1,022 worth of merchandise. He abandoned the shopping card when he was confronted by an employee.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Aug. 20 at 8:25 p.m. – An unknown male stole $1,905.86 worth of merchandise.
• Theft at Speedway, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 20 at 9:45 a.m. – An unknown amount of money was stolen from the air pump machine.
• Identity Theft at the 600 block of Georges Lane on Aug. 20 at 3:08 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
• Criminal Mischief at the 300 block of Exeter Road on Aug. 20 at 2:34 p.m. – Mailbox was damaged.
• Liquor Law Violation at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Aug. 20 at 7:21 p.m. – 14-year-old male was cited for underage drinking.
• Disorderly Conduct at the 2000 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 20 at 12:48 a.m. – 31-year-old male, 2000 block of Kerwood Road, Broomall was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Bicycle Theft at the 1800 block of Belvedere Avenue on Aug. 21 at 9:45 a.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of Wynnewood Road on Aug. 21 at 2:10 p.m. – Residence was egged.
• Disorderly Conduct at the 200 block of Lee Circle on Aug. 21 at 8:18 a.m. – 51- year-old male, 100 block of West Main Street, Norristown was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Vandalism at the 1200 block of Manor Road on Aug. 22 at 9:46 p.m. – Residence was egged.
• Fraud at the 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike on Aug. 23 at 4:23 p.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized charges on her credit card.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of Campbell Avenue on Aug. 23 at 7:07 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
• Criminal Mischief at Wawa, 100 block of West Darby Road, on Aug. 23 at 3:38 p.m. – Peanut butter was smeared on two bicycles.
• Vandalism at the 1200 block of Manor Road on Aug. 23 at 8:54 p.m. – Residence was egged.
• Fraud at the unit block of East Eagle Road on Aug. 24 at 2:02 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to him made unauthorized purchases with his credit card.
• Criminal Mischief at the 500 block of Naylors Run Road on Aug. 24 at 7:38 a.m. – Vehicle was keyed.

ARRESTS:

• 41-year-old male, 100 block of Clearview Avenue, Maryland. Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 17 at 7:45 p.m.
• 44-year-old male, 3200 block of Turkey Point Road, Maryland. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 17 at 7:45 p.m.
• 19-year-old-male, 4200 block of Haverford Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Firearms not to be carried without license, Reckless Endangerment, False Identification. Location: Ralph’s Auto Service, 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 18 at 10:11 a.m.
