Man Broke Into Delco Homes, Sexually Assaulted Victims: DA

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — An arrest has been made in connection with several daytime residential burglaries and sexual assaults in Delaware County and surrounding areas, according to authorities.

Montgomery County authorities Friday said Raheem White, 41, of Philadelphia, has been arrested and charged for multiple daytime residential burglaries and attempted burglaries in Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, as well as three sexual assaults.

White is accused of nine daytime residential burglaries and three attempted burglaries in Cheltenham, Haverford, Springfield Township, Upper Dublin and Jenkintown in Montgomery County; Lansdowne in Delaware County; and in Philadelphia from July 13, 2020 and Jan. 13.

Authorities said White targeted homes where cars were not parked in the driveway. He is alleged to have knocked on doors to find out if anyone was home.

When he found no one was home, White is alleged to have broken windows to get inside, used unlocked doors, and other means to get into the home.

Each of the homes that were broken into had bedrooms ransacked, and primarily jewelry, cash and other items that are easy to carry were stolen.

Authorities also said White sexually assaulted three people during three burglaries.

White is alleged to have placed his hands on one woman’s body, attempted to kiss an elderly woman, and ejaculated on a 102-year-old woman sitting in her home.

White was charged with multiple counts of felony burglary, attempted burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, indecent assault, and indecent exposure.

He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $1 million cash bail.

White's preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 2.
