Hero Teen Shot, Killed During Livestream In Delco
A 17-year-old boy who helped save two kids from a frozen pond last year died after being shot in Delaware County Sunday night, police said.

UPPER DARBY, PA — A Delaware County teen hailed as a hero last year for saving two children from a frozen pond died after being shot during a livestream Sunday night, according to police and reports.
Diamire Hickman, 16, of Collingdale, is accused of shooting and killing 17-year-old Anthony Alexander, also of Collingdale.
Hickman has been charged with third-degree murder, criminal homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and firearm crimes.

Fox 29 News reports Alexander was the same teen who helped save a boy and a girl from a frozen pond in Collingdale about a year ago.
According to Upper Darby Police, the incident occurred at about 5 p.m. in an apartment on the 2400 block of Marshall Road.

Police said Hickman fired a gun, striking and killing Alexander.
According to Action News, the teens were on Instagram live and passing around guns when the shooting occurred.
"We, at this time, ask that your thoughts and prayers be with everyone effected by this senseless tragedy," Upper Darby Police said. "We have been in contact with the Alexander family, and we are working closely with both the Upper Darby and Southeast Delco school districts, as well as the District Attorney's Office."
Hickman turned himself in to police on Monday.
He is being held on 10 percent of $750,000 bail.
Hickman is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 10.
