LANSDALE, PA — Jim Allebach has been driving school buses at North Penn ever since the school district was founded in 1966. He did so for the last time on Thursday, ending a 51 year career in which he became beloved by generations of Knights.

Allebach, the district's longest tenured employee, was recently honored alongside 72 other retirees at a ceremony held by the district.

The district said that nearly 100 staff members, students, and friends gathered on Thursday morning as Allebach pulled his bus into the North Penn lot for the final time.
