6 New Businesses You Can Expect To See In Newtown In 2019

NEWTOWN, PA — Some new businesses will be joining the local scene in 2019, serving up everything from made-to-order donuts to craft beer.
Here's what you can expect to see in Newtown in the new year:
NEWTOWN BREWING COMPANY

This is an exciting one for craft beer fans: The Newtown Brewing Company will be opening this summer in the Newtown Business Commons. Newtown Brewing Company will be located at 103 Penns Trail, and will share a 10,000-square-foot building with Sir Speedy. The brewery will have about 4,600 square-feet of space, with half of it dedicated to brewing, manufacturing, and warehouse uses, with the other half as a taproom open to the public. NINA'S WAFFLES

The popular ice cream shop was expected in 2018, but the opening was delayed. The shop will be located at the historic Toll House at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center. Preparations appear to be well underway, and signage has been put up. Click here for more details.
MELT
Also at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center will be Melt, a grilled cheese and sandwich chain out of New York City. Melt has an existing store at the King of Prussia Mall, as well as locations in New York, New Jersey, Delaware and at the Mall of America in Minnesota. Click here for more details.
STARBUCKS
A drive-through Starbucks is slated to open at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, across the parking lot from McCaffrey's. Construction is currently underway. Click here for more information.
FACTORY DONUTS
It's going to be a big year at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, apparently. Factory Donuts will be opening there, too. It will be located near Oishi and GNC. The made-to-order donut shop has an existing location in Philadelphia. Click here for more information.
GURU'S INDIAN CUISINE (Relocating)
Guru's Indian Cuisine will move from Cambridge Lane to building that formerly housed The Saloon on Sycamore Street. The restaurant will serve unique cocktails. Additionally, they will be transforming the upstairs into a banquet room. Click here for more information.
